January will see The Beni Bear Club doing basic self defence moves and also learning about breathing techniques for calming and focus as well as for the adults, calming pressure points - two sessions held, one for the kids and one for the adults - both sessions desiged to draw on requirements...

February will; see The Beni Bear Club getting ready for sharing some #BearLove over Valentine's - activities that will require showing kindness, generosity and love to others in and around our community... Parents will be waited on hand, foot and paw, so put your feet up and relax!


 

March will see us move into a more serious side of dealing with conditions and disabilities. We'll be doing group therapy night; talking about feelings, frustrations, bullying as well as coping mechanisms and even making your very own worry box. Parents are encouraged to join in with this session and really listen and be heard also...

April is  time for Fire Safety - West Swindon Fire Station representatives will be aided by 'Fire Marshall Beni Bear' in teaching all about fire safety and awareness. Children will also be encouraged to draw fire safety and fire hazard pictures that will be discussed during the session.

We will be holding a 'skills' might in May helping our younger members with things such as shoe laces, safety using utensils to make sandwiches and even learning how to so on a button. Great session of co-ordination and motor skills!

We will also be continuing our Self-Defence night with Harry for the adults...

 

In June we return for a bit more fun with arts and crafts. Two of our youth volunteers will be passing on their skills in book folding - looks like we will be making some great summer time gifts which will be able to be decorated and painted - all by recycling unwanted books

July is our Fitness and Nutrition night with the lovely Hannah = not only our Patron, but a Personal Trainer too - games, exercise and fun foods are all on the menu for this club night!

Due to summer holidays, August is time for free play - bring a favourite game or toy to show your friends or join in with our team games and table top fun!

September is schools is normally Book Week so we thought we'd join in this year too. Bring a favourite book or story to share with your friends; write your own new stories and even dress up as your favourite character. I wonder who Beni Bear will come as?

Back to Halloween fun and antics in Spooky Fright Night for October... dress to scare!
