Here are the fabulous team at The Great Western Hospital (Swindon) Children's Unit receiving our first team of Brave Bears!
Hop Skip & Jump has bears ready to be Brave too!
Does your child get anxious if their routine changes?
Does your child get nervous when they need to go to the doctors?
Does your child have problems adjusting to a stay away from home?
Then Beni Bear's Brave Team are here to help!
Beni Bear's Brave Team are bears that have their own Superhero identity (and of course outfit). The Beni Bear Club is funding them and providing them into the two Hop Skip & Jump centres in Swindon, the GWH Children’s ward, a few Special Needs Units in Primary schools . In time, we aim to provide them into doctors, dentists and even opticians.and a Doctor's Surgery in Old Town, Swindon.
The Brave Bears are there when your child is out of their comfort zone – any child with a special need that requires structure and routine can often get anxious and scared when things change. But what if they could cuddle a Brave Bear and get a little more confident themselves?
Well now they can.
The Loan-A-Brave-Bear scheme not only helps with a little fundraising for those involved, but also allows a parent to borrow a special bear for their child for a short period of time; just until they feel brave enough on their own - an inexpensive way of helping many children in the community. These bears will be available n their locations from 16 February 2015.
If you would like to borrow a bear, please contact me below and Mummy will help me reply to your request!
A massive thank you goes out to Toys'r'Us who helped us source the bears that we put through Training College to become our Brave Team.... they loved seeing their new costumes and how Brave they were now! They have also promised to help me find more bears for Training College when we need them. Now that's #BearLove...
